I’m here to try the Fitter, Stronger retreat – a weekend of working out, hiking and Pilates – as well as learning more about the benefits of a balanced diet, good sleep patterns and regular exercise. Oh, and did I mention the motivational talk from none other than Olympic rowing champion James Cracknell?
There’s no cold shower (unless you choose the freezing drench setting following a steam session), no frugal lettuce leaf lunches, shouty instructors or inhumane 6am alarm calls.
